Patrick Chen

Patrick Chen is a filmmaker from Queens, New York. His works typically draws from the lives of Asian American characters. He attended Hunter CUNY where he studied writing and film.

His films were accepted and screened at various film festivals, e.g. CAAMFest, LAAPFF, and Asian Cinevision, and featured on Xfinity, Museum of Chinese in America, and Sinovision.

Love express - captures Chinese-Americans commuters from Queens, New York. The film was shot late at nights on the 7 train going to Flushing, New York, the second-largest Chinatown in New York City. Featuring actors Tim Liu and Margaret Ying Drake. Directed by Patrick Chen.
The last tip - After +80 years of operation and feeding the community and tourists, 69 Bayard Restaurant closes its door during its final days. "The Last Tip" features actors Geoff Lee and Celia Au with special cameos from author Henry Chang and the late Corky Lee. The restaurant was infamous for its wallpaper display of real money from their past customers.
